SELF-GUIDED TOUR OF TALCY CASTLE
Although contemporary with the great châteaux of the Loire Valley, Talcy remained outside the Italian style. A well, a wine press, a dovecote and the garden, which has been restored as a heritage orchard, highlight the estate’s agricultural character. The château has retained its 18th-century interior décor and furnishings. It was on this Salviati estate that Ronsard fell in love with Cassandre, inspiring the famous poem ‘Mignonne, allons voir…’.
