Centre de la Résistance, de la déportation et de la Mémoire

With 225 m² of floor space, the Centre offers a permanent exhibition in four sequences in its new premises: - Listening to my story: presenting the context in which the Resistance was formed, the local protagonists and their commitments; - Bearing witness to their history: this evokes the actions of the Resistance, but also the perils incurred by its members and the general population, particularly the Jewish population; - Making history: how events in the Loir-et-Cher region have become part of national history; - Conclusion - a space for reflection and openness: questioning the values of the Resistance and their future. This space is a place of reflection for deciphering tomorrow's world. Through a variety of archives and period objects, some bequeathed by deportees and members of the Resistance (weapons, uniforms, photographs, etc.), it continues to evoke the commitment, courage and hope of the people of Loir-et-Cher.
