In the Blois, Chambord and Loire Valley region, the summer begins with the Fête de la Musique and ends with Heritage Days. Plenty of time to enjoy all the events on offer. Whether it’s the Guinguette Concerts weekend in Blois from 2 to 5 July, the Classical Music Festival in the magnificent setting of Chambord, or Blois’s famous 13 July celebrations with their concert and fireworks display over the Loire.
During the day, guided tours of the town of Blois take place every day, each with a different theme. For nature lovers, you can enjoy beaver-spotting trips or boat trips on the river, as well as many other activities suitable for children (Marolles Nature Reserve).
If you enjoy cycling, there are cycling events on the programme, such as the ‘Fanfare à vélo’, the travelling show ‘20,000 Leagues Under the Sea’ and ‘Le Manuscrit des Chiens’.
In August, don’t miss the L’Echo du Caquetoire street arts festival; night markets and local festivals offer a friendly atmosphere not to be missed.
Pick a week during your holiday!
