SELF-GUIDED TOUR OF CHAUMONT-SUR-LOIRE CASTLE
Set in the heart of landscaped grounds, the Château de Chaumont overlooks the Loire from a height of around 40 metres. It was once owned by Catherine de’ Medici in 1552 and by her rival, Diane de Poitiers.
In 1875, the Princes of Broglie acquired it and transformed it into a truly princely residence. You will conclude your visit with a look at the 19th-century stables, considered at the time to be the most luxurious and modern in Europe.
SELF-GUIDED TOUR OF THE INTERNATIONAL GARDEN FESTIVAL AT THE DOMAINE DE CHAUMONT-SUR-LOIRE
Every year, around twenty teams of landscape architects from around the world present their interpretation of the theme chosen by the estate. Their designs often offer an original and unexpected take on the theme, incorporating flowers, materials, water, trees and foliage. The park also hosts artworks made from natural materials or which call for the preservation of biodiversity.
