Christmas at Chambord: Gargantua’s gourmet Christmas

‘Christmas at Chambord’ is back! From 28 November, the Chambord National Estate will be decked out for the festive season, offering young and old alike an enchanting escape. This year, visitors will be immersed in the world of Gargantua, the famous giant created by François Rabelais in the 16th century. Indulgence, abundance, fantasy and excess take over the Christmas decorations and the castle’s centuries-old stones to offer a festive and immersive experience. Echoing the temporary exhibition “Les Festins de Chambord”, on display on the second floor of the castle, this year’s “Christmas at Chambord” continues the exploration of the pleasures of the table and the art of hospitality through the centuries.
